Hip hop, done right.

I’ve never really been a fan of this thing called hip hop. In fact, I think most of it is juvenile, meaningless shit.

But every now and then, you come across something that goes beyond being a cool track for boys to jerk their heads to. It does what art is supposed to do. It provokes, scares, stimulates, enlightens. It becomes punch-in-your face poetry.


To get it, it might help to know, or care, a bit about the London riots, and why it all happened.

In this excellent interview, he describes what he’s trying to do.


If you want to make a difference, change the world and all that, this is how you do it.

As opposed to, you know, sharing that piece of shit about some African supervillain on Facebook and giving yourself a pat on the back.
